Feijoa

It is also commonly called a pineapple guava

is about the size of a chicken egg.

It has a sweet, aromatic flavor and rich in vitamin C.

In Kiwi Garden (New Zealand) fruits are borne

sometime in autumn about April.

The fruit drops when ripe and at its fullest flavor,

but may be picked from the tree prior to the drop to prevent bruising.

The fruit usually is eaten by cutting it in half,

scooping out the pulp with a spoon.

Fruit juice drinks, jam, ice cream and etc. can be made from Feijoa,

and also be used to produce wine or cider, some may add in vodka.

Commonly grown in kiwi's garden.

斐济果

它也被称为菠萝番石榴,

鸡蛋的大小，味道甜而芳香,富含维他命 C。

在奇异乐园(纽西兰)，秋季大约四月是斐济果成熟季节,

斐济果成熟时，会从树上掉下，

也可以提早先从树上摘下，以防止擦伤。

常见的食用法是把斐济果切一半，然后用小匙舀出果肉食用。

斐济果可以制成果汁饮料，果醬，冰淇淋等，

还可以用來制作葡萄酒或苹果酒，也可以加入伏特加。

在奇异乐园的庭院里很常见。
