i miss Aqua's Feijoa 想念阿瓜的斐济果

想念阿瓜(Aqua Lodge)后院那棵斐济果,

好像怎么也吃不完的，地上都是果子。

大伙很努力很有创意地想出各种各样的食用法。

当时斐济果冰沙和奶昔很受欢迎。

奇异人爱在自家院子里种些花，蔬菜和果树，有的还养动物。

有一棵“成年”健康的果树如李子，苹果，柠檬或fejioa，

果子在树上挂得像满天的星星，怎么也吃不完。

有的人会拿到市集出售，有的在放在自家门前，摆个小摊，

只放了个诚实钱箱（honesty box），

有的是送的，也有物物交换（以物易物）的。

能够自己自足，也与人分享，是开心与富足。

另一个说法是：真正的财富是，某人有多少的财富可以捐出去，

而这并不会影响到某人当时或将来的生计。

我相信这不只是钱或物质上的，也包括大爱和心灵上的。

 

I miss the Feijoa at Aqua's (Aqua Lodge) backyard (at middle house),

the fruits were all over the ground, seemed like can never finished eaten.

People were working very hard and creative to come up with variety recipes.

Feijoa smoothies & milkshake were very popular at that time.

Kiwis love to grow flowers, vegetables and fruit trees in their gardens,

and some may have animals.
A mature healthy fruit tree such as plum, apple, lemon or fejioa,
could bear tones of fruits like the thousand stars in the sky.

Some may sell then in the market, some may leave them in front of the gate,

with a honest box only (where you pay the money with your honesty),
Some may do exchange with neighbors or friends (yes, like barter system in the old days).

One able to be self sustainable, and also sharing with other people,

That is happiness and abundance.

The true wealth is how much one can donate,

and this is not going to affect one's current or future living.

I believe this is not limited to money or material matters,

but also compassion love and spiritual matters.
